"The Program consists of legendary DJ/Producer K-Def, and rapper Dacapo (Dave Cazeau). The groups sound is reminiscent of early 90´s hip hop, combining the strong soulful and jazzy beats of K-Def with the lyrics of Dacapo, whose rhymes typically come from a sociological perspective, and avoids the use of profanity. K-Def, easily one of the most slept on producers of his time, has a style of production that is rare, complementing the lyrics of each song. The professional sound of the production helps to make each record stand out, demanding full attention. Both members have a strong bond to the roots of the music that they produce, and will come to be viewed as the next step after groups such as Gang Starr, Pete Rock/C.L. Smooth, and the like."

Another project brought to you by The Find Magazine! This time in collaboration with Redefinition Records (Damu The Fudgemunk) and Dutch festival Boogiedown Breda. A free EP to pay hommage to the legendary De La Soul! This EP includes remixes, remakes and tributes by the likes of K-Def, Astronote, K-Murdock (of Panacea), BP and DJ Stitches. Enjoy!

"K-Def‘s remix of ‘Stakes Is High’ kicks in the hardest with banging drums and the remarkable use of the Ahmad Jamal sample. Of course it includes the infamous ‘Vibes… Vibrations’ by James Brown as well. Host K-Murdock‘s track is more subtle with an ambient touch, reminiscent to the mellow style on ’The Scenic Route’ by his hip hop group Panacea.

On the other hand, we have DJ Stitches (remember Class A Felony?) & BP. The obscure movie samples on their remake of ‘Millie Pulled A Gun On Santa’ are explicit and give this version an extra playful dimension. Astronote‘s track is completely different compared to the aforementioned contributions. The tribute by the French producer slightly leans towards an electronic orientated beat." - The Find
