All good things come to an end... After running this blog for over four years on a daily basis, we've decided to call it a quit for Musical Schizophrenia.
We're all busy with our lifes (and getting busier and better), unfortunately activity on the blog is decreasing big time, we lost quite a few links after the recent file sharing shutdowns and a big part of the team is active for The Find Mag nowadays anyway, which is pretty much identical to this blog but more extended content, a bigger platform and related (physical) projects - also many free downloads!
Because it'd be a shame to let the blog slowly 'die', it's for the better to put an end to it now. Of course we'll leave the blog online so you can dig through the archives any time (over 2.800 posts waiting for you!) and there's always the MS forum for those of you who still want to participate, contribute and stay active in the community.
Quick Oscar moment: thanks to all involved writers from start (2008) to finish (2012). And above all, lonely at the top: huge thanks to all hip hop enthusiasts, musical schizophrenics, fans, anonymous leechers, supporters and people who were active in the tight MS community. At day one I was under the assumption that I was one of the only people with "such a weird/eclectic taste in music". It's amazing to see that there's a (fairly big) worldwide niche full of lovers of 'jazz-hop' and analogue cross-overs.
This blog eventually transformed into The Find Magazine, which opened doors for me personally to other opportunities and ambitions (and meeting a bunch of new people), so without exaggerating like a melancholic drama king, I can say this blog was definitely a fruitful kickstart to great things. So don't see this as a definite end: we keep things going through The Find!!

Yasiin Bey (formerly Mos Def) recently travelled to Paris along with Talib Kweli for some Black Star shows, while there he stopped by a Parisian radio station and performed some new tracks (including Niggas In Poorest, which I did not bother to include). I looked around the net and could not find official versions of these tracks or even any mp3 versions so I copped the videos and pulled the audio, made a cover and packaged it up for the listening pleasure of all you MS readers!
