You might remember Kyteman of his project Kyteman's Hip Hop Orchestra (if not, you should!). After a big success in the Netherlands he took a long hiatus, but now he's back with this Kytecrash project. He merged together with the Gatecrash collective of well-respected trumpettist Eric Vloeimans (Kyteman is a trumpettist too) to do a few sessions in his 'Kytopia' building (dude invested all money he earned with his music into a big ass studio/meeting place/record studio/performance place). Everything's recorded in just a few days. Nothing prepared, one take, press record and that's it.

Unlike his previous project (people not familiar, check this, best song of 2009 hands down) that was more hip hop influenced, this is almost strictly Jazz. Although rapper Pax is featured on a few songs.

After the Pete Philly EP I made a loooong while ago, I figured out to do another one with some 'exclusive' stuff. This time of Kyteman, the genuis producer/trumpetist from Holland.

He released The Hermit Sessions earlier this year, which is definitely a top 5 release of this year, no doubt! I really insist to support him and check out his music (Live DVD coming later this month), but here's a bootleg made by yours truly with some live tracks.

They're all 128kbps or better, but they sound really good. So no crappy recordings! The first track appeared on his official album, Freestyle Jam and Pitchblack Darkness appeared on his Sorry EP and Live @ Lowlands is an exclusive recording, almost an hour long (in good quality). Enjoy!
