I constantly went down threw philly, mostley to ecsape, really enjoy the trainrides, and of coarse lookin for some used records. One day my friends and I cut school, during the last few weeks of 11th grade, to go downtown (philly) and do the usual routine, which was get some cheesesteaks, go to this small bookstore, and then check out the new music. We ran into ?uest at the cheesesteak spot and he told us to come threw the show and filled us in on the new project, and that the records release party was later that night. Really nice guy. Of coarse we went, and the show was amazing, the jammed for about 3hours and it was the first show they had ever done as a group. Just a random good time, but I feel like the cd doesn't come close to what we saw that night. Dj Logic opened up and came out at the end and remixed alot of the tracks live, but definitely a chill record to throw on. To say the least I dont think we made it to class that next day, because we were completely exhausted from show.Want more Questlove, check out HHIR compilations series...
