Yo, what's going on everyone? Thought I'd start off posting here with an album from one of the doppest duos from the mid 90s. This right here is Group Home's first album, Livin' Proof, that dropped in the Fall of '95. If you've never heard of them before, Group Home is a duo comprised of two MCs, Lil' Dap and Melachi the Nutcracker. Group Home were members of the Gang Starr Foundation, and they did a lot of work with the realist DJ Premier, so you can expect a lot of Sick Lyrics, and Infected Beats.

Originally made for his friends he was encouraged to realease it, and no sooner did he do so then EMI, objected to the use of the beatles music, none of the surviving beatles views on the album are known but their record company intervened and this is now an internet album only, even more reason to download this gem of album, ill be posting some more of danger mouse's work shortly.

# The final product of the first issue of our independent hip hop magazine is coming closer and closer.. We are finishing up the last writings and then it's just a matter of editting, checking and improving. Stay tuned for this; gonna be dope, really!! We will (probably) release this before the end of the month or early in August.

# We get some complaints about the title of our blog, Musical Schizophrenia. That's why I want to give you my view on this.
Schizophrenia is a horrible disease and I don't want to hurt people with this disease nor I want to hurt people who know someone with schizophrenia.
My grandfather was a victim of schizophrenia, so I really know what this is all about and what it can cause. I wish everyone with this disease all the best and my heart goes out to everyone who's a 'victim' of this disease, directly but also indirectly.

About the name, it's just a metaphor. Actually, the phrase has nothing to do with the disease. Musical Schizophrenia refers to the fact that someone has a very diverge taste in music, without putting a focus on just one genre. The reason we picked this name, is because (I guess) all authors like several musical genres instead of just one. Hip Hop, Soul, Jazz, Funk, Indie and the list goes on and on. It does not refer to a musical version of the disease, or the fact that we have different personalities.
The phrase, which is pretty common, just refers to the fact we listen to a lot of music and that we are very diverse, music-wise.

My apologies to everyone who feels hurt or who feels bad because of our name, we just want to share a diverse collection of music and we do not aim at the disease at all.

# Musical Schizophrenia is doing very well! We get more visits, unique visitors and returning visitors by the day and our team is getting bigger and bigger! Thanks to all visitors and people who show their support to this blog, we really appreciate it.

# We are still working very hard on the first issue of our magazine. I can say it's going to be amazing, I am very proud of the result we have right now. We still have to do a final edit and we still need to finish some last stuff, but we will probably release the first issue before the end of the month or early at the beginning of August.
There are small chances that this is going to be a big thing. My study gives students the opportunity to send in a concept of a magazine and I'm able to improve it with help from a coach. After that, one of the biggest publishers (Dutch and International) will pick the best concept. The two winners gets 2.500 euro's and the magazine will get published and released officially.
I am down for this and going to do the best I can, this is a big opportunity and no way I will let this slip.
I don't say we gonna win this for sure, but I hope we do!

# I promised to post a re-up of the Nylon Rhytm Machine album but unfortunately, I can't. When I try to open the files, I get a message that the files are private for someone. The only way you can listen to this, is to enter a password, but I don't have it and I can't crack it, too bad.
