Medeiros produced by Stro Elliot (both formerly of The Procussions). The B-side is home to a “Pale Blue Dot” remix by none other than 20syl of Hocus Pocus with a guest verse from the brilliant Canadian emcee Shad.

“Pale Blue Dot” features Stro taking a different approach to hip hop crafting a mellow electronic tinged instrumental meshed with Mr. J’s poignant rhymes reflecting on the state of our society and complemented with a haunting chorus from Giannina Ashe. The remix features 20syl’s unique reinterpretation of the original track, providing further depth and broken beat grooves as well as insightful raps from Shad adding his wisdom to the wax.

This is Mr. J’s first appearance on wax since 2007’s critically acclaimed Of Gods and Girls 12” and is available for one time only on 200 beautiful blue records with hand-numbered sleeve artwork by Nathan Travis. Here at MS and The Find we are huuuuge fans of Shad K. Really happy he is getting some real recognition now on the international hip hop scene.
A while ago I posted this album by TM Juke, which features Shad K and Mello Black as 'Bread & Water' a few years before 'When This is Over' came out. Here is another early Shad appearance, again with TM Juke.

Does anybody know of any other early stuff? Are there any recordings from just Bread & Water? Any info would be much appreciated. Biggups MS fam!

Shad - iTunes Session

Shad released an exclusive EP on iTunes today consisting of 6 live songs, some of them flipped a bit differently from the album versions. Very awesome...
And there is finally a recorded version of the epic Shad youtube video of him rhyming in front of a garage. So dope, I think it, "The One In Front Of The Garage"(track 6) is now my favorite Shad track from any album.

You know Shad... well along with his 3 awesome albums over the past 5 years he has done some great collaborations. This is a folder containing almost all of the features Shad K has done. Please help out if you know some others. I bet you have some of these albums, but probably not all the songs, sorry if this gives you doubles. I checked this out for the track featuring Shad K after Esperanza adviced it, which is by far the best track on the album. But the rest of the tracks are pretty good as well. Recommended if you are into mellow soulful music with a female vocalist.
