I think not everyone will like this, but I'm really feeling it. In short: quite a unique combination. Trippy electronic beats that remind me of edIT and vocals like a melancholic indie/rock band.

But the theme of unique synergy does not only spread throughout the bands work structure, it is equally apparent in its music: You won’t find better vocals and more bittersweet melancholy in electronic music period. You have not yet heard these kind grooves and wicked effects in guitar ballads. KiloWatts & Vanek are simply beyond categories like “Laptop-Folk or “Glitch Pop” as they unify harmonic flow, truly visionary focus and simply the best of the electronic and organic.

Here at MS and The Find we are huuuuge fans of Shad K. Really happy he is getting some real recognition now on the international hip hop scene.
A while ago I posted this album by TM Juke, which features Shad K and Mello Black as 'Bread & Water' a few years before 'When This is Over' came out. Here is another early Shad appearance, again with TM Juke.

I won't make this into an Oscar speech, but thanks to everyone who's involved throughout the years. Authors, visitors, fans, listeners, supporters, artists - it's great to have such a strong MS community! 3.6 million visits and 2.3 million unique visitors within three years is epic if you ask me.

And guess what? To celebrate our anniversary, we didn't do shit. Haha. "Jones was the only one of three singers who were called into the session to show. Having completed all the backing parts herself, Roth and Lehman were suitably impressed with her performance and recorded "Switchblade", a solo track with Jones. This track and "The Landlord" were included on the Soul Providers' album Soul Tequila, released by Philip Lehman on Pure circa 1996. More than 15 years late, but thanks to long-time MS collaborator and illustrator Dwii for the heads up about this one!

'Formed in Petersburg, Virginia in the early 90s, The Ill Biskits released their 1st single on the independent NYC label Khari Entertainment in 1994. The single, "God Bless Your Life" contains the rare and much sought after BSide track "22 Years", which was produced by none other than, Hip Hop legend Lord Finesse.
The single generated a solid buzz and earned the duo strong spins at College radio and Hip Hop stations in Chicago, New York and San Francisco as well as with mixtape DJ's at clubs across the US. In 1995, after getting the attention of major label Atlantic Records, the duo signed an album deal, and went onto to release two more singles; the rerelease of "God Bless Your Life" (minus the cuts contained on the Khari Ent. 12") and "Chill Factor b/w Hypnotic Blessings".
The full-length album, "Chronicle Of Two Losers", was completed, but never commercially released. However, promo copies of the album were pressed and released in very limited numbers on CD & Cassette only.'
