Now this is what I call a nice surprise.. I found this album on Last FM and never heard of it before. Dynospectrum is a group consisting of Slug (Atmosphere), I Self Devine, Beyond and Swift - entirely produced by Ant (Atmosphere)!

Definitely a must hear for all Atmosphere fans on here. Even if you are not into Atmosphere, you should hear this. This album has kind of an old school vibe, instead of the "emo Slug" a lot of people hate on nowadays.

Ironically we just posted about the "musicblogocide" yesterday and were all worried about the blog, but today our forum got shut down because of illegal content...

Something a little different this time... One Giant Leap is a concept band consisting of Jamie Catto (founder of Faithless) and Duncan Bridgeman. I got introduced to them via 'Braided Hair' with Speech and Neneh Cherry (must hear!) and although I don't like everything by One Giant Leap, there are definitely some amazing songs (the preview, for example). They travel around the world and make music with a lot of artists from all over this globe.

If you are not really into world music, you still gotta check this out for sure. Interesting features by Speech (Arrested Development), Michael Franti, Boots Riley (The Coup), Nneka, Santana, Zap Mama and way more. It's worth it, trust me, even if it's only for three songs you like. Enjoy!

This is the soundtrack to Samurai Champloo: Sidetracked, a game released for Playstation 2. It's a bit different from the TV anime's soundtrack but it still feels like Samurai Champloo. While the show's soundtrack struck a nice balance between relaxing and action oriented tracks, this release focuses a bit more on the latter....relying even more on bass and breaks.

Here's a Dilla tribute by Denmark based producer Isbjerg (pronounced like "Iceberg"?). He reconstructed Dilla's Donuts to his own vision by flipping and reworking the original samples and even adding some of his own. It's pretty interesting to listen to this side by side with the original Donuts.
