from inside sleeve -- recorded live at the future primitive sound session, may 25th 1997, in the heart of the San Francisco underground. All effects and mixes were unrehearsed and improvised on five turntables by cut chemist and dj shortkut. The audience was unintentionally recorded thought the styluses. The Future primitive is an ongoing underground event dedicated towards bringing about the evolution of hip-hop and dj culture.
this mix was the first time i had heard cut chemist. I was familiar with the invisible skractch pickles, but this raised my respect for a live act consisting of only dj's, and would set chemist on making lots of these types of mixes, such as brainfreeze. This would is truely a dope mix, the first of the FP series.
