Tonight we'll will be out getting wasted/having fun with friends and/or family like everyone else does, so I'm gonna post it a little bit earlier: Happy Newyear y'all!

2008 was a very good year, but I'm sure that '09 will be amazing as well! Not only because of the promising releases, but also for the growth of Musical Schizophrenia and The Find. Our ambitions are still very big and you can take my word that we'll evolve big time in 2009 :)

The Class Of '08

First of all I want to say that 2008 was a great year!
It's ridiculous how much dope releases dropped this year and I think the last 365 days proved the fact Hip Hop is alive and kicking! KRS can shut up now, we all know Hip Hop's alive, haha.

Next to that 2008 was the year of the birth of Musical Schizophrenia and The Find. I really enjoy managing both projects and I am very glad that all of you also like MS/TFM a lot (right?). We don't stop and we won't stop! 2009 will be a good year, trust me :)

Time for something different than the regular stuff on MS! This time it is an album by Sufjan Stevens with B-sides and unreleased tracks from his (also great) album Illinoise. Personally, I love his music and this album/collection includes some AMAZING tracks like Chicago, Springfield, The Avalanche and Pittsfield.

The year is almost over and of course MS will also post a Top ___ of 08 (how cliché...)!
I just realised how f*cking good this year was for (jazzy) Hip Hop: we posted ±440 albums from 2008 on the blog and I don't wanna brag or something, but mainly all albums are great!

I think it will be hard to create a list, and I am personally not a big fan of lists (because my opinion on albums always changes), but we'll make one.
BUT we need your help for it. Our list has to be representative for all of us and not only for the writers of MS, so I'd like to ask you to 'nominate' an album or several albums by leaving a comment below this post.

Issue Two?

I know we promised to release Issue Two of The Find Magazine on december 1st (yesterday), but we didn't make it.
Why? We are a group of perfectionists and we want this issue to be perfect: also because we are gonna try to print some issues and we want to improve as much as possible.
Next to that it's harder to manage this project because we don't have holiday all the time (like we had when we worked on Issue Zero), so we have to deal with our work and study as well.

But we are still very motivated about this project and we'll do our best to release our next issue ASAP - and I can say that we are very close to finish it.

So it's coming sooner than you think!
