This time it's no real contest, just something so The Find Magazine will get promoted a little bit more!
Wanna participate? Download (deleted) to find out what you have to do.
Thanks.
I decided to end this contest. I was wrong and connected The Find Magazine with downloading, what I don't want to do. The Find Magazine is a project where we want to support Hip Hop with, without offering downloads like Musical Schizophrenia.
I still stick to the fact that downloads aren't killing Hip Hop like some people say. I offer downloads on Musical Schizophrenia so people can listen to an album before they buy it. But, I can't say it enough, also buy the album after you downloaded it.
I am supporting Hip Hop with The Find Magazine, and offering free albums on Musical Schizophrenia; is it right or wrong? I don't know. Tell me if you know it. I am thinking about this paradox for quite a while, but I still don't know if it is right what I am doing..

Ps) Still wanna thank The Truth for being honest and dropping his thoughts.
Still haven't read The Find Magazine?

You ate all hypocrits! How do you have a album download blog and go and say you don't support downloading music? You're theories don't make sense. So it's okay to download applications but not music?? It's okay to exploit the programmers and coders that worked hard making an app, but it's not okay to exploit musicians? You don't make sense. Have some maturity and delete all the illegal album downloads from this blog before you go and say things like that. You DO support piracy. Don't try to mix mediocre interviews with downloading and write it off in your mind as acceptable. You are killing hip-hop by giving away artists albums for free. Think about it.
0) It says: "THE FIND MAGAZINE CREW" does not support downloading music. This is Musical Schizophrenia.
Yes, I say piracy isn't that bad and is alright. But with The Find I don't want to support it, that's a project where I want to support hip hop with. Yeah I offer free downloads with this site, but I think it increases the sales for (independent/unknown) artists. This study proves the same:

1) I do not say piracy is a bad thing, I also provide free downloads to my visitors. BUT, I don't say downloading means that you DON'T have to support artists and don't need to buy albums; LOTS of people (like myself) download an album to have sort of a preview and after that, they go to the store and buy the album to support the artist, go to shows and buy merch and such.
So I say; download an album, listen and if you like it; support the artist(s). Preview-purposes only.
2) There are also applications that are spread for free, I meant that with 'applications'. Alright, maybe wrong choice of words.
3) Maybe you should have some maturity too and don't post anonymous on this site and leave an e-mail so we can discuss this.
4) And I am killing Hip Hop? Please re-consider that statement.
- I put artists on here that nobody heard of before and wouldn't know without getting the opportunity to listen to the music.
- I set up my own magazine to support artists that should get more recognition for their great music.
- I buy albums, yes
- I go to shows and buy merchandise
My bad for sounding pissed of, but I don't like it if people come here talking like they speak the truth and know everything.
Thanks for reading.

I thought about this again and you have kind of a point.
But the disclaimer at the contest was for the full crew of The Find Magazine. It has NOTHING to do with this blog.
Regarding downloading, that's another discussion. Feel free to drop your thoughts on that.
I also ended the contest because I connected downloading with the magazine and don't wanna do that. Your comment made me see it; thanks for that.
Still, I do not agree with your saying that I am killing hip hop by offering downloads...
Ah well, that's all I have to say right now

i can't say rather it's right or wrong. but because i've been able to find new artist on this site, i've bought those artist albums. maybe it's just the audiophile in me that needs to have the high quality rip from a cd or something.
and to be quite honest. illegal downloads aren't killing hip hop. hip hop has a lot of problems and illegal albums are in the middle to the bottom of that list. people have been downloading illegally since the late 90s, it's not as big as a problem as it was once seemed to be.
You guys are not killing hip hop, lil wayne and the gayme are. fo real
yo its pretty simple to me.. no1's killing hip hop, hip hops evolving. Whatever you wanna say about the downloading internet thing, its gonna happen, and its a 100% positive that its happening because without it, i'd be happily listening to 50 cent, the game, lil wayne, and rotting my mind away right now. But because of the internet I have grown above that style, my mind is now ready to take on new adventures and in this new adventure i do need some guidance on albums, sites like this help promote the adventure, when i come across a dope album, i buy it. I right now have over 100 LP's/CD's/12"s, and while thats not alot right now.. note i just started on my vinyl collection, and my cd collection was made the past 2 years without a job.
but once again, i have always said it years before "mainstream kills hip hop blah blah blah," but lately, i've been taking note of the movement of hip hop, as long as hip hop touches out many people im down with that..
Face it: The music industry is going to have to give up the model of paying for music. It is far too easy to download it for free, and honestly, there are far too many artists (such as Atmosphere, for example) offering free mixtapes and albums to really rely on the album as an artist's sole means of income. If MS doesn't offer the music for preview, then really, it is not as if one could not go to a thousand (literally) other sites with the music. I come here mostly because the folks who run this blog know good hip-hop.
Furthermore, most artists do not make their livings from sales alone. Hell, the top artists in the business (and we're not talking about just hip-hop here) often get pennies on the dollar for each album. Does this justify downloading their music without paying for it? Perhaps not. However, it also suggests that you should not overstate the case.
I think what MS does here is great: It provides music with the understanding that people should ultimately support the artist in some manner. Other sites do not give them that much consideration. And as heaps said, this site promotes artists who otherwise would go without much publicity. Admittedly, I have downloaded quite a bit from the site and have yet to purchase all of the music that I have gotten here. That said, I have made it out to a number of concerts to see the folks whom I have downloaded.
Thanks for the comments/support guys. Most of the above comments share the exact same opinion as me.
Good to know some people think the same way as I do!

Heaps:
do you buy the albums that you put up?
@ Anonymous: I have to admit that I don't buy EVERYTHING, just because I don't have the cash for it; 300 albums x 20 euro = 6.000 euro's and I simply can't affort that right now.
But yeah, I buy the stuff from artists I like a lot. And next to that I go to mainly EVERY show of artists I like + I buy merch there, to support the artists.
Or at least, if they come to Holland :)
